My client is looking to recruit a Motor Claims Controller x 3 for their office in Manchester. The job requires a consistent approach to Personal Injury issues in accordance with the company's processes and procedures. Third Party injuries currently account for approximately 50% of the overall claims spend. It is the area of highest claims inflation and the cases will therefore require a high degree of management and control. The area in general is a fast-changing environment with new legal precedents/statutes being regularly introduced.

Working closely with external organisations and agencies, egg insurance companies, solicitors, uninsured loss and credit hire companies and by applying the appropriate case law, the Motor Claims Controller is responsible for negotiating and recovering the best possible settlement for customers and the company as quickly as possible.

This role involves a high degree of influencing and negotiating to ensure settlement is achieved without the need for Litigation. The Motor Claims Controller has a pivotal role to play in achieving a balance between the provisions of a quality service combined with the commercial focus required to ensure that the Company meets all targets.

You will answer all incoming call enquiries in an efficient, expedient and customer-focused way, ensuring that the customer/Third Party receives a professional service at all times and be pro-active in using the telephone to move the claim forward to reach the best possible settlement. Also assist the Team Leader with customer and third party complaints in a professional and effective manner, ensuring costs control.

It is essential that applicants have an in depth knowledge of general claims handling including Personal Injury file handling, ideally within the insurance industry and they must demonstrate a good understanding of the RTA/MIB and legislation relevant to road traffic accidents and injury claims. The ideal candidate will have front line customer support experience in a target driven role involving influencing and negotiating, in particular objections resolution. You must also have attained IFC Level 1 or show a willingness to study.

Salary for this role is expected to be £23-28k however this is negotiable and dependent upon experience.
